A new Chrome theme is now available that combines simplicity, clarity, and efficiency in one elegant design. The White and Black Theme for Google Chrome introduces a high-contrast interface that helps users stay focused while browsing.

White and Black Theme for Google Chrome
What makes this theme special is its tab design. The active tab uses a white background, making it easy to identify at a glance, while inactive tabs remain black, blending smoothly into the background. This clear visual separation reduces distractions and helps users manage multiple tabs more comfortably.
Save Energy
The rest of the Chrome interface is fully black, including the toolbar and frame. This creates a modern, minimal look that works especially well in low-light environments. It also offers practical benefits for users with OLED or AMOLED screens. On these displays, black pixels are turned off completely, which can lower power consumption and help extend battery life. Over time, this may also reduce screen wear on devices with OLED panels.
Better for the Eyes
Dark interfaces are known for being easier on the eyes, particularly during long browsing sessions. By limiting bright areas to the active tab only, this theme maintains readability without overwhelming the screen.
Free
The free theme is easy to install from the Chrome Web Store and can be enabled or removed at any time through Chromeโs appearance settings.
